Aerial photo of the processing plant at the Tanco Mine, SE Manitoba, Canada. Most of the mine & pegmatite lie immediately beneath Bernic Lake. The Tanco mine has been one of North America's premier sources of tantalum, lithium aluminosilicate ceramic, and cesium. It is also one of the largest, best exposed (through mining and drilling), and most chemically fractionated pegmatite bodies on earth.
