In my work on pegmatites, I calibrated the P-T history of deposits such as Tanco in reference to the stability of lithium aluminosilicate assemblages. With that P-T reference frame, I examined fluid inclusions trapped in various phases. This view shows a typical crystal-rich inclusion in spodumene. In addition to crystalline phases, the inclusion contains low-salinity water and water vapor.
