The crystalline contents of crystal-rich inclusions can be studied by electron beam methods. Here, an SEM image of an opened inclusion from Tanco shows a partial assemblage of phases that includes albite, pollucite, quartz, and a large, blocky crystal of diomignite, Li2B4O7, a new mineral described by me and colleagues that occurs only within fluid inclusions.
